Insurance terms
All vehicles are insured in case of damage done to a third person (compulsory insurance).
If the Vehicle Mrkić Rent a Car is damaged by the fault of another vehicle, the damage in this case is not settled from the car insurance Mrkić Rent a Car vehicles, but from the compulsory insurance policy of the (responsible) party. Therefore, it is very important to make a police record, and to fill in the appropriate forms.
You should certainly call the nearest Rent a Car Mrkić branch office.
If the Mrkić Rent a Car vehicle is damaged by the fault of its driver (the party that hired it), liability for damages is ensured by compulsory payment of the daily supplement for Casco Insurance (CDW).
This casco insurance does not cover a damaging event in full amount, but only damage to the franchise amount depending on the vehicle class.
CDW also has some exceptions, which are not covered by casco insurance:
The CDW does not cover the damage to the following parts: tires, ratkaps, racks and the lower section of the vehicle, as these damages only arise from the gross negligence of the driver.
CDW does not cover engine damage due to lack of oil.
CDW does not cover any damage if the driver was under the influence of a drug or alcohol (proof police record), and if the vehicle is mined or deliberately burned.
CDW does not cover damage done by a person not specified in the contract as a driver.
With the purchase of a franchise ie CDW + (plus) the lessee is covered in the event of damage to the vehicle in full (the rule on the obligatory police record as well as the abovementioned exceptions still applies).
If the customer does not purchase the franchise and the damage is incurred is less than the amount of the franchise, the lessee is responsible for this small amount. If the amount of damage is higher than the deductible franchise amount, the customer is responsible for the amount of the franchise. The rest of the damage is covered by casco insurance.
In the event of a traffic accident, a police record is required. If a party does not pass a police record CDW or CDW + does not apply at all and the party is liable for damages in full amount.
TP (theft protection) does not apply in case of lost keys or loss of vehicle documents.
Procedure in case of a traffic accident:
To provide the vehicle with further damage, call the police and the nearest branch of Mrkić Rent a Car, make a statement and fill in the appropriate forms.
